MCGRANE AND CLARKE SHARE NARROW LEAD
Jul 9, 2010

Damien McGrane joined Darren Clarke out in front as the second round of The Barclays Scottish Open began at Loch Lomond.

Northern Irishman Clarke led on six under par overnight, but fell into a five-way tie for the lead when he three-putted the 11th, his second of the day, for a first bogey of the tournament.

And although the former Ryder Cup hero bounced straight back with a birdie at the 12th, he was joined by McGrane as the Irishman played his first seven holes in one under par.

Swedish pair Peter Hedblom and Johan Edfors - a former winner here - joined Edoardo Molinari and Graeme Storm on five under, although the latter two were among the late starters.

And two-time Major winner John Daly was still in the hunt at four under, despite losing a ball with his first shot of the day.
